Represents the commercially relevant connection between two business partners.

Use

To create a relationship between business partners, you must assign a business partner relationship category to the business partner relationship. The business partner relationship category (see Business Partner Relationship Categories) describes the features of the business partner relationship.

You can assign attributes (such as a company address for the business partner relationship) to a relationship to avoid redundant data storage.

The relationship can also be defined in terms of time by entering a start and end date for the relationship. This means it is also to see an overview of the periods in which specific business partners were contact persons for a company.

Example

Mrs Smith at Hansen Ltd is a contact person for your company Jones & Co.

You create the contact person relationship with the relationship category "Is Contact Person for" between the business partner "Smith" with the BP category Person and the business partner "Hansen" with the BP category Organization.

You assign the company address to Mrs Smith and enter additional data such as the call and visiting times.
